GenoFAB is now accepting applications for guest contributors to our blog, Plasmid Academy.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome:

  • Postdoctoral and early-career scientists
  • Advanced graduate students with relevant experience
  • Individuals with a background in molecular biology, synthetic biology, bioinformatics, cell biology, or related field

Strong scientific writing skills are essential.

What You'll Write

You’ll be assigned a topic from our curated list that aligns with your background and interests. You may also pitch your own idea, though final topics are selected to ensure alignment with our editorial goals.


Examples of previous blog topics include:

Article Guidelines

  • Length: 1,000–1,500 words
  • Structure: Use subheadings to organize content clearly
  • Include:
    • 4–5 one-sentence highlight bullet points
    • A glossary of key terms (1-sentence definitions)
    • 5 FAQs with answers
    • 4–5 references or further reading links
    • A featured image (AI-generated images welcome)
  • Use of tools like ChatGPT is permitted to support your expertise

Articles will go through one round of revision. GenoFAB will handle posting and promotion

You will be credited as the author, and we’ll include a short bio with optional links to your LinkedIn or personal website.
